NOTD: Sun Kissed (China Glaze) & 5. Red Texture (NOPI) - A Polish That Has Never Been Worn

I'm slowly getting ready for summer, and an oldie but a goodie is Sun-Kissed (China Glaze). This is true highlighter yellow, absolutely neon and perfectly summer. Surprisingly, it was not a creme; it's got subtle shimmer all through out that changes its consistency and gives it an extra touch of sheen in the sun. Application was a bit of a challenge, and it took three coats for the above picture. I'll note that it's one of the better yellows I've applied and that's probably because of it's a shimmer not a creme.

As for a polish that I've never worn, I've had some crackles in my stash for a while and I never seem to whip them out. Crackle, or "texture" as NOPI is calling this, is a trend that burned so hot it burned itself out. Still, now with the furor died out a bit, I was happy to wear NOPI's Red Texture over Sun-Kissed. There's just something about a crackle over a neon that I can't quite disavow, trends be damned.
